Starting from a clean slate again. It’s been years since I updated the blog/site and it was so full of spam comments that I just didn’t want to deal with it. I debated dealing with the huge amount of spam comments so that I can keep the old posts, but there really wasn’t anything of great value to anyone except myself… maybe. With this fresh start, I’ll mostly be posting about my adventures in tech. I left photography behind years ago and don’t plan to make a return any time soon. Though I’ve been wrong before so who knows.
With that out of the way, let’s talk about what has changed with this site/server. First I’m still running it off a DigitalOcean VPS. That hasn’t changed and won’t change anytime soon unless something crazy happens or I get really bored. As usual the OS is Debian, version 12 at the time of writing and running Docker. The web server is Caddy and database server is MariaDB. Orchestration is done with Ansible. Nothing special, boring.
